Our Atlanta trip brought us front row with what's trending this Spring and Summer. We are excited to bring many of these trends in the next weeks to come. So here's what to watch for:
Floral prints continue to rule. But this time the focus is on tropical and dainty blooms. We listened to our Customers' feedback that the past floral trends of roses and peonies prints are not everyone's cup of tea. Not to worry, although we ordered some floral print tops and dresses, we know you will love the ones we are bringing in.
Tropical foliage such as palm trees, fronds and fruits like pineapples were all the rage with many designers and vendors. We could not resist and decided to bring those in too, along with other whimsical prints that we found. We did say no to llama prints :)
Another print that continues to trend year after year are Animal Prints. And let's face it, animal prints has become a neutral component of outfits nowadays. There is a twist to this season's leopard print. You won't see much of it in its traditional and natural color combo of black, brown and tan. Watch out for Leopard print in soft neutral colors like our Kiara dress or in pastels.
Geometric patterns such as stripes and polka dots are popular as an all over look or an accent on the sleeves or hem. And let's not forget Gingham. It looks like styling an outfit with mix patterns and prints are totally going to be trending. And guess what, we love pattern mixing!
Early this year, Ultraviolet was selected as Pantone's Color of the Year. With this choice, the Spring palette includes lilac, soft yellow, sky blue, mint green and pink lavender. Neutrals such as light grey, cream and navy are trending as base colors to coordinate with the Spring palette.
Jumpsuits! Jumpsuits! Jumpsuit! Lots of lightweight jumpsuits were seen from many of our favorite designers. And you know we love jumpsuits! We got you covered on this. We have an order for a couple of them so read our emails and/or follow us on Facebook to be in the know on when they arrive.
And what about Bell Sleeves and Ruffles? Well, if you love them, GREAT because they continue to trend. Lantern sleeves are also making a showing but expect them and bell sleeves to be smaller and more subtle in 3/4 length. Don't worry, we avoided sleeves that are too long and annoying. For short sleeves, we saw some flair and butterfly sleeves showing up in Spring dresses in fabulous Spring colors. Needless to say, sleeves continue to have a feminine style this year.
Asymmetric hemlines for tops and midi/maxi dresses will make a showing this Spring and Summer. Also, faux knotted and side tie light weight tops are trending paired with shorts and skinny jeans. And speaking of jeans, white jeans are big this year.
And that is about what we saw as big trends for this coming Spring and Summer. We hope that you are looking forward to our full Spring and Summer Collections as much as we are.
